  • Medium: 160°F (71°C) – The center will be mostly pink with a hint of brown.

Variations and Substitutions for the French Dip Sliders

  • Au jus Dipping Sauce: Offer a side of au jus sauce for dipping, adding an extra layer of savory decadence.
  • Sauce: Mayonnaise, sour cream, creamy horseradish sauce, and a touch of sweetness from honey or maple syrup round out the sauce.
  • Dinner Rolls: Feel free to use dinner rolls in place of the sweet Hawaiian rolls for the roast beef and cheese sliders.
  • Butter Mixture: Add garlic to the butter mixture for any easy to make butter sauce to top the hawaiian bread.

Special Equipment Needed

Equipment can have a big impact on how a recipe turns out. Stone bakeware takes longer to heat up than metal pans, and also retain heat for longer, which could make the recipe waterier, or burnt on the outsides.

  • Serrated Knife: You need a good knife to cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise.
