These Creamy Slow Cooker Chicken Pasta are one of the best crock pot recipes for chicken.  They make a great light supper or tasty lunch.

Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken Pasta

This recipe is inspired by a creamy chicken roast, typical in the French countryside. With the magic of the slow cooker, classic ingredients turn into a flavorful meal with just minutes of work…much simpler than the original!

Making the preparations even easier, I have to confess that I actually cheat and put chicken in the slow cooker straight from the freezer. It comes out beautifully, saving the time of defrost step.

The dish incorporates pasta, so it becomes a hearty dinner easy enough for a weeknight. And it has all the taste of a weekend dinner for guests.

A perfect starter dish to accompany this chicken pasta dinner is

This recipe makes plenty for a family, but I’m always hopeful there will be leftovers. Personally, I think it gets even better after a night in the refrigerator!

Healthy ingredients, simple preparation, and a crowd pleaser…This recipe is a winner!

I’ve seen some recipes out there where the pasta is cooked directly in the crockpot…but am skeptical for the moment…maybe next time? Have any of you tried it, and how did it turn out?

Helpful Tips for All Recipes on It Is a Keeper
  • Want to scale a recipe up or down? Simply type in a new serving amount and the recipe will automatically adjust!
  • When a recipe call for House Seasoning Blend, you can use this recipe or substitute salt and pepper to taste.
  • I always use unsalted butter in my recipes.
  • I always use a meat thermometor to test for doneness when cooking meat.  This one is my favorite.
  • When a recipe is made in the oven, it should be pre-heated to the temperature in the recipe, unless otherwise noted.
