Ingredient Notes

  • Brownie Mix: You can use whatever type of boxed brownie mix you’d like for this recipe. Even make your favorite recipe with flour, butter, salt etc.
  • Eggs: This recipe will need 2 large eggs; but use according to your box mix.
  • Water: You could use water or milk, again use according to the ingredient measurements on the box.
  • Oil: Vegetable or Canola oil both work for this recipe.
  • White Chocolate: You will need 4 oz of white chocolate to melt and drizzle over the brownies.
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs: For this easter brownies recipe, Cadbury Mini Eggs are essential! You will need to crush they up in a plastic bag with a meat tenderizer or a wooden rolling pin. You could also use another type of chocolate eggs of your choosing.

Make the brownies with eggs and oil and mix.

STEP 1: MAKE THE BROWNIE BATTER

In a large mixing, make your brownie batter according to the box package ingredient proportions/measurements. Stir together. For for flavor you can add vanilla extract and some extra unsweetened cocoa powder. Then pour chocolate mixture in prepared baking pan and bake in the oven according to the package’s instructions.

STEP 2: MAKING THE EASTER EGG SHAPE

Allow brownies to cool completely before using an egg shaped cookie cutter to make brownie eggs cut outs and lift them out of the pan with a spatula.

STEP 3: DECORATE EASTER EGG BROWNIE

In a plastic bag using a meat tenderizer, crush up Cadbury mini eggs. Then in a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate then make add to a plastic bag or piping bag. Drizzle White chocolate over the easter egg brownies then sprinkle on crushed mini eggs.

  • Brownie mix
  • 2 eggs, for the brownie mix used
  • ¼ cup water, for the brownie mix used
  • ½ cup vegetable oil, for the brownie mix used
  • 4 oz white chocolate, melted
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs candy, crushed

Instructions

  • Prepare the brownie mix, and bake according to package directions in a 9×13” pan.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely.
  • Use the cookie cutter to cut out egg shapes, then arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Add Cadbury Mini Eggs to a ziplock baggie and use a meat tenderizer or rolling pin to gently crush them.
  • Melt the white chocolate, and add to a ziplock baggie.
  • Cut the very corner of the baggie, then drizzle melted chocolate in a back and forth motion over the brownie eggs.
  • Sprinkle crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs candy over each brownie.
