Ingredient Notes for Air Fryer Bell Peppers

  • Ground Turkey: For this air fryer stuffed peppers recipe you will need a package of ground turkey. You can also use ground chicken, ground pork or ground beef.
  • Olive Oil: You will need olive oil for this recipe. Vegetable, canola, or avocado oil will work as well.
  • Diced Tomatoes: I used a can of seasoned diced tomatoes. If you don’t have seasoned diced tomatoes, you can make up for it by adding some Italian seasoning mix.
  • Green Onion: I used green onions, you can also used scallions as well.
  • Oregano: You will need dried oregano.
  • Garlic: I used garlic powder, but you can also fresh minced garlic.
  • Parsley: In this recipe, I used dried parsley, but you could also use fresh parsley.
  • Rice: You will need approximately 1 cup of cooked rice. You can use brown rice, white rice, orzo or even quinoa.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Once the stuffed peppers in air fryer are done, you can finish off with grated parmesan cheese.

How to Make Air Fryer Peppers

These are the basic steps for making Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions and nutrition information.

Mixing the meat, stuffing the peppers and cooking the stuffed peppers.

STEP 1: PREPPING

Start by cooking rice. Then wash and dry bell peppers and cut into halves.

STEP 2: COOK THE MEAT

In a large skillet or saucepan, cook ground turkey or whatever ground meat you choose. Add the olive oil and spices, cook for 3-5 minutes over medium high heat. Then add in the tomatoes, rice, and onions, cook for 5 minutes.

STEP 3: STUFF AND COOK THE PEPPERS

Add even scoops of the stuffing mixture into each bell pepper half. Then place in the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees f for 6-10 minutes. Finish with grated parmesan cheese, serve and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey, or and ground meat of your choosing such as beef or chicken
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes seasoned with garlic and basil
  • ¼ cup chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dry parsley
  • A dash of salt and pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Grated Romano cheese

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, brown the ground meat. Add the oil and spices. Cook for 3 minutes. Add the rice, onions, and tomatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Cut the peppers in half and remove the seeds. Scoop meat filling into each pepper half and place in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 400 for 6-8 minutes or until peppers start to brown slight.
  • Garnish with Romano cheese.
