Notes about Moonshine Ingredients
It’s easy to make peach cobbler moonshine is made with a few simple ingredients. The main liquid is white grape peach concentrate juice. It’s easy to find at most supermarkets.
- White Grape Peach Juice: Any type of peach concentrate or flavored juice will work.
- Peaches: The recipe called for canned peaches in heavy syrup. You can use fresh or frozen peaches too. If you do, just add some peach nectar to replace the syrup from the canned peaches. I wouldn’t use dried peaches, though.
- Granulated Sugar: White Sugar is what I used but brown sugar is also fine.
- Cinnamon Sticks: This just adds a warm flavor to this easy recipe.
- Grain Alcohol: I used 190 proof grain alcohol, 151 can also be used if 190 proof is not available.
- Peach Schnapps: Use a bottle of peach schnapps or brandy, the best you can find.

I just made this last night? Can you keep it in the refrigerator for the 1st month or is that too cool?
Either in the fridge or a cool, dark place. I keep mine in the pantry.
Can I use peach vodka instead of peach schnapps
Absolutely!
After bottling my peach moonshine I found a couple cans of peaches in my pantry. What do you think about dividing up drained peaches in my already prepared jars? Too late? Next time I make this recipe I’m going to definitely add more peaches to the jars.
Thanks
I think you can add them now.
Just made this last night and I know it says set aside for a month but had to try a little and it was great my wife said the only thing missing was the ice cream..
Peach Moonshine Floats for the win! Great idea!
Do you simmer this with the lid on or off? I Just made this and got seven and a half quarts.
This was so easy to make! I love that it is a large batch and will be perfect for spring parties!
I made this recently for a camping trip. It was the perfect drink to sip around the campfire after the kids went to bed.
This peach moonshine recipe was so fun to make! I’m looking forward to making up another batch this weekend for Super Bowl Sunday. 🙂
Hi. Are you putting new fresh cinnamon sticks in the jars. Are you putting fresh peach slices in the jar or canned peach slices? If so how much of each?
No, you are to divide the cinnamon sticks and peaches from the mixture evenly between the jars. The number of jars will depend on what size jars you use.
Do you put the peaches in the bottle
I do 🙂
I’m confused about the a amount of canned peaches. It says 2oz 15? Want to make sure before I buy them. Thanks
My apologies…when I transferred my recipe over it formatted incorrectly. Everything is correct now. It was 2 15oz cans.
Hi, I made your recipe, and it is very taste full. Have you tried reducing the juice to only one 64 0nce bottle? To me it taste a little light, but might just be the sugar tricking me. I drank a few swigs, and I have that little feeling above my eyes. Next time I will reduce it, and use only 1 64 once, and let you know how it comes out. Does taste really good, though. I would just like to be able to taste the alcohol a little more.
You can definitely adjust it according to your taste. The grain alcohol was very strong for my taste.
CANT GET 190 proof everclear–only 151 proof will that do?
Sure it will. It just won’t be as strong. 🙂
if you use 151, you might want to reduce the white grape peach juice. Maybe only use one 64 once.
Great idea!
I myself can only get the 151 proof in PA, that is what I used and it was awesome!
Glad you liked it 🙂
we can only get 120 proof in CA
You can definitely use that…it just won’t be as strong. It will still taste great though!
Is it best to serve it at room temp. Or chilled?
Definitely chilled! I usually keep a jar in the fridge.
Is there a certain way to store it or is it as easy as clamping on lids and leaving them to ferment for a while?
I just screw the lids on and let it hangout on a cabinet shelf for a 6-8 weeks.
Is there any dangers to be aware of when making this? Also is there any dangers about storing it to go bad. Ive hard that if you do it wrong it can become poisonous or make you go blind.
Let the mixture completely cool before adding the alcohol. Do NOT add it while it’s on the stove. The alcohol is highly flammable. You aren’t actually making moonshine (like in a still). It’s just a fun name for the cocktail. I have never heard it becoming poisonous or making anyone blind, but it is VERY strong, so drink responsibly.
Can you use the Welch’s grape peach juice in the carton from the refrigerated section or does it have to be the bottled juice?
As long as the sizes are the same, I think you will be OK with either.
What is white grape peach juice and where to you get it.?
I found it in the juice aisle of my grocery store. I think it was Ocean Spray.
Welches makes one too,
Good to know! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Do you have to do anything to preserve it? Or does it have a good shelf life because of the alcohol in it?
The alcohol preserves it. It’s 190 proof.
I cant wait to make the peach moonshine its going to be a evry excellent
Gift for Christmas .Also this is my first time on here and i am already enjoying
It Thank you !!!
