Each cherry has a sweet hello, and a warm goodbye! With a nod of Appalachian creativity, I took these cherries and gave them a long soak in moonshine. Just keep out of reach of the kiddies!

How to Make a Cherry Bomb- Step by Step

Open cherries, drained and moonshine added.
  • Drain: First, drain the fresh maraschino cherries and reserve the juice then add cherries back into the empty jars.
  • Add: Second, pour in the proof moonshine (I used a jar of ole smoky) and top with reserved cherry juice. Next, place the lid on the canning jars and shake to combine.
  • Refrigerate: Finally, refrigerate the fresh cherries for a long soak of 24-48 hours.
