Ingredient Notes for Peach Pie Moonshine
- White Grape Peach Juice: Any type of peach concentrate or flavored juice will work.
- Peaches: The recipe called for canned peaches in heavy syrup. You can use fresh or frozen peaches too. If you do, just add some peach nectar to replace the syrup from the canned peaches. I wouldn’t use dried peaches, though.
- Granulated Sugar: White Sugar is what I used but brown sugar is also fine.
- Cinnamon Sticks: This just adds a warm flavor to this easy recipe.
- Grain Alcohol: I used 190 proof grain alcohol, 151 can also be used if 190 proof is not available. I use everclear.
- Peach Schnapps: Use a bottle of peach schnapps or brandy, the best you can find.
See the recipe card below for a complete list of the ingredients with measurements.

- Use Vodka: Use peach brandy or peach vodka.

Please drink moonshine responsibly. This is a good recipe as you can let it sit in the fridge and sip. It is one of the reasons I love this recipe.
- This Recipe Can be Doubled: Great recipe for a crowd. Simply increase the ingredients proportionately and split it into jars.
- Add Less Cinnamon: Not a fan of cinnamon, there is no need to add the cinnamon sticks to the mixture if you want just the peach flavor.
- Alcohol Content: It is difficult to calculate the alcohol in moonshine as it depends on the brands that you utilize. However, for general purposes it is about 35 proof with an ABV of around 17 percent. (This is just an estimate only, please do not come at me in the comments)
- Jars: Any size canning jars that you have to store this Apple Pie Moonshine Everclear. You aren’t going to do the entire canning process. Just fill the jars and make sure they are tightly sealed, even gallon size can be used, perfect for holiday parties.
- Time: The eight weeks is a guide, as the alcohol content is very high. If you like strong spirits with a kick or use a less strong proof then you can drink before the 8 weeks. Please drink responsibly.

I love the idea of this peach moonshine. It would taste amazing with some sweet tea as a summer sipper!
Mmm…delicious! Thanks for the recipe.
Tasty. I love the strong peach flavor of the moonshine.
How many quart jars does this recipe make?
Instead of 128 oz white grape peach juice go to the refrigerated section of the produce department in your favorite grocery store and buy Simply Peach – 100% Peach Juice.
Same thing for Apple & Watermelon moonshine recipes.

Can you use vodka in place of everclear? If so, how would you alter the receipe?
Yes, simply place vodka for the everclear. There is no need to wait to serve.
I’ve tried to this recipe and it’s delicious however the everclear doesn’t always agree with my stomach. If I were to use a premium 80 proof vodka how much would I need to change the other ingredients?
The strength will change as the everclear is much higher in alcohol but you an replace the eveclear with the vodka and keep all the other ingredients the same.
How long will this stay fresh if used 151 everclear and added the peaches to the jars
The peaches will last quite a while as the alcohol will preserve them. You can find more information in my ultimate moonshine guide.
Do you have to add the cinnamon?
No It just adds to the flavor.
Do you know the approximate proof of the final moonshine?
I believe that it has been calculated in the apple pie version in the comments.
1.5 L at 140 proof added to a 3.64 L juice + 0.85 L peaches of 0 proof leads to a final volume of 5.99 L…. so ((1.5 L)(140 proof))/ 5.99 L equals 35 proof or about 17.5% alcohol by volume.
Is the peach schnapps figured into your equation?
Hi Rick, Please Help! Can you confirm that the 105 L at 140 proof is both the vodka/Everclear and the Peach Schnapps? It is hard to determine based on your stated 140 proof. I am afraid I might be missing something here. In advance, thank you so much for you help…
If you don’t have a cool place, should you keep it in the fridge
Room temperature is fine. Just not in an area that gets temperature fluctuations, such as a kitchen.
Does it need to sit for 8 weeks or can it be enjoyed sooner?
Make it better by buying Simply Peach 100% juice in the cooler section of the grocery produce section. I only cook my mixture for about 30 minutes. When it’s cooled, add the real ‘shine and pour over large ice cube to not dilute much. The Apple Pie is good warm too. I added real apple pie filling like the peach recipe. Enjoy!
Dennis
Can you drink this prior or do you really have to wait 8 weeks?
If you use 190 proof grain alcohol it will be much too strong to drink immediately. It needs to sit for at least 8 weeks to mellow out.
Hello Just have a question Do you have to put sugar in all homemade moonshines Thank You
My recipes do call for sugar.
Is this now a beverage you can drink a glass of straight?
If you waited the 8 weeks, yes.
Will the fruit in the jars still be preserved with the 151 Everclear? Is the shelf life about the same? I’m going to make this next week!
yes, it will. Good luck!
What is a serving size? A shot glass for 83 carbs?
The nutritional estimates are based on the yield that is listed on the recipe card. In this case it is 6 quarts.
Will the peaches get mushy and mess up the moonshine if I put them in each individual jar?
Nope. Feel free!
I always put peaches in the individual jars and it hasn’t ever messed up the shine.
This peach moonshine sounds fantastic!
Hypothetically, if I had a quart jar of real moonshine and added a container of frozen lemonade concentrate, do you know how long would stay good if kept in the fridge?
I’m not sure. I’ve never tried this.
How long is it good?do u refrigerate it?
It is great for months.
If I used real moonshine instead of everclear how many pints would I use?
The equivalent of 750 ml.
I like this recipe but how do you Make the heavy syrup with fresh peaches
This recipe does not use fresh peaches. It uses canned peaches.
