What type of Ground Beef should I use for Salsbury Steak
It is sometimes hard to figure out what type of ground beef to use for certain dishes but you don’t want anything too greasy or too dry. We want it just right.
Salisbury Steak is like meatloaf, therefore, you want it nice and moist and as a result it can handle a ground beef with a higher fat content. So you can use an 80/20 or even a 70/30 mix for this recipe.
How can I update this timeless classic?
The plus side of this recipe is that it is fairly low carb. Therefore, if you are watching your diet you can serve my Salisbury Steak over riced cauliflower to make a delish meal. Or try riced broccoli or zucchini noodles!
If carbs are not an issue for you but time is a factor, try my Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese. It is a real kid friendly favorite.
