A mocha is made of milk, espresso and chocolate syrup, and a regular latte is just espresso and milk. So really, there’s not much of a difference between a mocha and a chocolate latte.
Pro Tip for the Coffee Drink
Whisk the cocoa powder with a small amount of hot milk first to create a smooth paste. This prevents clumps and gives you a silky finish.

Common Questions About This Recipe
Cinnamon tends to sink or not mix because it’s hydrophobic. Next time try brewing the coffee directly into a cup with some cinnamon to help it mix.
If it’s too bitter, you can always add in more sugar and/or milk.
Sure! Replace the coffee with premade hot chocolate.
Expert Tips for Making a Cinnamon Chocolate Latte
- Heat Milk Gently: Avoid boiling to prevent scalding the milk.
- Use Fresh Cinnamon: Old spices lose flavor and can make the latte bitter.

- Balance Sweetness: Start small and adjust the sweetener as you go.
- Serve With: Serve with Strawberry Scones, Mexican Breakfast Casserole or Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls.
