1. Add the Ground Beef, Onion and Bell Peppers and Brown

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ Pounds Ground beef
  • 1 Green bell pepper , chopped
  • 1 Onion , chopped
  • 4 ounces Mushrooms , chopped finely
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 6 Slices Provolone cheese
  • 6 Buns, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon All Purpose Blend, or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Brown the beef in a skillet over medium high heat, and set aside.
  • Add the butter to the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium.
  • Sauté the onions, peppers and mushrooms in the skillet until tender.
  • Return the beef to the skillet.
  • Whisk together the flour and beef broth.
  • Stir the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning to taste and beef broth mixture into the skillet.
  • Simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed, and the mixture has thickened.
  • Stir in the cheese until melted.
  • Top the buns with the cheesesteak mixture and serve.

  1. Hi, I plan on making this tonight, and I was wondering can I use frozen onions and peppers instead. And if so how much should I use?

    • Of course you can use frozen. I would use the same amount. But as always you can add more or less to suit your families taste.
