  • Grease the pan thoroughly with non-stick vegetable oil spray or melted shortening, not butter so cake doesn’t stick.
  • Grease the pan just before adding the batter, not too far ahead of time.
  • Don’t flour the pan but do coat it with something that will create a barrier between the batter and the pan, such as finely ground nut flour or granulated sugar.
  • After baking, let the cake cool slightly in the pan for about 10 minutes, then loosen the edges with a silicone spatula and flip the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely. If the cake is still stuck, try placing it on a hot, wet towel in the sink or freezing it until it hardens.

Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe FAQs

You can keep out at room temperature for several hours but for long term storage:

  • Wrap the cake snugly in plastic wrap, making sure to press the plastic wrap against the cut surfaces of the cake to prevent them from drying out.
  • Place the wrapped cake in an airtight container or cake saver. If you don’t have a cake saver, you can use a large turned-upside-down Tupperware container to create a dome over the cake.

For a beautiful presentation to the easy chocolate bundt cake, you can use fresh fruit such as strawberries, dark chocolate chips or other candy.

It picks out the natural chocolate notes and makes them seem richer and more complex.
