Christina’s Notes
- Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: Spread the dough pieces loosely in the air fryer basket or dish. This allows hot air to circulate, giving you that golden, crispy outside and soft, fluffy inside.
- Layer the Cheese and Toppings: Mix shredded mozzarella and mini pepperoni (or any favorite toppings) with the dough before air frying. This helps every bite taste like pizza, not just the top.
- Spray for Crispiness: A quick mist of cooking spray over the top before air frying helps the bread brown nicely and adds a bit of crunch.
- Check Early for Doneness: Air fryers vary! Start checking around the 8-minute mark. It’s done when the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into a doughy piece comes out clean.
- Serve with Warm Marinara: A side of marinara or pizza sauce for dipping takes it over the top and really delivers on the pizza vibe.
- Scale the recipe: Simply adjust the serving size in the recipe card and the ingredients will update automatically.
- Make your own All Purpose Seasoning: When a recipe calls for All Purpose Seasoning, you can use my homemade All Purpose Seasoning recipe or substitute salt and pepper to taste.
- Meat doneness: I always use a meat thermometer to test for doneness when cooking meat.
- Use unsalted butter: I use unsalted butter so I can control the salt level in the recipe.
- Preheat the oven: Unless otherwise noted, always preheat your oven before baking.
