STEP 1: PREPARATION

First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8” square pan with parchment paper and set aside.

STEP 2: MIX AND BAKE

Then in a mixing bowl stir all the ingredients together except coarse salt until well combined.  Next pour into prepared pan and bake.

STEP 3: COOL

Finally, allow to cool completely before slicing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • cup maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • Optional: coarse salt for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8” square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, egg, salt and baking powder. Use a mixing spoon to mix until ingredients are incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and use a spatula to smooth it into an even layer. Sprinkle on coarse salt if desired.
