Why is Restaurant Dressing Better?

Many restaurants will use buttermilk as the base for their homemade ranch. Buttermilk helps to bring out flavors that can get lost in store bought ranch bottles.

Creamy Southwestern Ranch Dressing FAQs

If stored properly in an airtight container, this homemade salad dressing will last 1 week in the refrigerator. Just stir together before you serve.

I don’t think so! The only thing that’s spicy in this recipe is taco seasoning. Homemade taco seasoning allows you to know exactly what’s going into it, so can be as spicy or as mild as you’d like.

I wouldn’t recommend putting this ranch salad dressing in the freezer because sometimes dairy can separate when it freezes.

Sure! Omit the ranch and use sour cream, mayonnaise or cream cheese as your base instead. If you’d like to make it a little healthier, use a low fat mayo and low fat sour cream.

It is a very easy way to recreate that popular restaurant version. But with a perfect blend of spices that your family will love.
