How to Make Maple Sweet Potatoes

These are the basic steps for making melting potatoes recipe. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions and nutrition information.

STEP 1: PREP

First, preheat oven to 450ºF. Then, peel sweet potatoes and trim off both ends. Next, slice sweet potatoes into 1/2 inch thick slices. 

STEP 2: MELT BUTTER

Next, melt 1/2 cup of butter and add to a large bowl; Then add potato slices and stir until coated. Next, arrange potato slices on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer sprayed with a non stick cooking spray or lined with foil; Pour remaining melted butter from the bowl over the potatoes slices. Then sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of All Purpose Seasoning. (Or a tsp or two of salt and black pepper).

STEP 3: BAKE

Roast potatoes for 15 minutes. Flip potatoes, sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of All purpose Seasoning Blend. Continue roasting for 10 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and tender. Add stock to baking sheet and roast for 10 more minutes or until most of the broth is evaporated. 

STEP 4: TOPPING

While potatoes are roasting, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine walnuts, syrup, remaining 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 teaspoon House Seasoning Blend. Simmer and stir until the butter emulsifies; Remove from heat.

STEP 5: FINISH

Finally, transfer potatoes to a platter and drizzle with syrup and walnut mixture right before serving.
