How to Make Valentines Chocolate

These are the basic steps for making Valentines Chocolate. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions.

STEP 1: PREPARATION

First, Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper and next, lay a single layer of crackers on the sheet.

STEP 2: Cook

Next, melt butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Pour mixture over crackers, and work quickly to spread it evenly. Bake.

STEP 3: Melt Chocolate

Meanwhile, melt white chocolate per package directions by using the microwave or double boiler.

STEP 4: Cool

When crackers are done baking, spread the white chocolate over the crackers, top with candy and sprinkles and refrigerate.

STEP 5: Break or Cut

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 12 oz white chocolate
  • 1 cup M&Ms, Valentine’s
  • Heart sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay crackers out in a single layer.
  • Melt butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour mixture over crackers, and work quickly to spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • While that is baking, chop white chocolate and melt over a double boiler.
  • When crackers are done, remove from the oven, and spread melted chocolate over them.
  • Top with M&Ms and sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate for one hour to cool, then remove and gently break into pieces.
