Buffalo Shrimp

Tonight, we decided we would try to make some of the dishes from one of our favorite restaurants.  First up was Buffalo Shrimp.  Basically, it’s breaded shrimp with a nice coating of hot wing sauce.  The sauce I made used a base of TABASCO® Original Red.  We love using the stuff on pizza, eggs and I like a few dashes on my mac and cheese.  YUM!  It doesn’t just add heat to a dish, it unlocks the flavor.

Is It a Keeper?

These were pretty good!  They were a bit on the spicy side (just the way we like ’em) but so good when dipped in the blue cheese dipping sauce.  I really liked the zest from the Tabasco paired with the sweetness of the brown sugar and the smokiness of the Worcestershire sauce.  A winning combination!

While I was poking around on the Tabasco website, I found these great additional ways to use Tabasco, Game-Day Party Menu and Pizza Perfected.  Enjoy!
