What is the Difference between Stuffing and Southern Style Cornbread Dressing
Stuffing is usually “stuffed” into the cavity of an animal usually some type of poultry. And is cooked along with the bird. Dressing, however, is usually cooked and served on the side of the bird in a casserole dish.
While some enjoy the flavor of stuffing, it is sometimes not safe if not prepared correctly. Bacteria can survive in stuffing that has not reached 165 degrees that could then cause food poisoning.
