This Breakfast couscous recipe is very similar to oatmeal.  It has a wonderful texture and excellent flavor.  Plus, it’s so versatile. You can add any mix-ins that you prefer (or none at all if that’s your thing).  And, if you have any leftover, it’s just as good the next day, reheated in the microwave.

  2. Sounds good. I’ll have to try it with leftover cooked millet or maybe quinoa for a gluten-free version.

  4. We actually eat couscous for breakfast all the time, but I usually make it more savory. I add onion sauteed in bacon fat and then top it with a soft fried egg. I will definitely make this the next time I forget to start something the night before! Yum. By the way, I stopped over from Monday Mania.

  7. I understand about not being a morning person. I’m not either, ask my poor children who often end up waking mom up because I overslept AGAIN!

I love to bake (check out my blog, it’s all about baking!) and I’ve got a couple go-to breakfast recipes that take just a couple minutes to throw together and bake for awhile, giving everyone a chance to wake up!

I think I might try this one, too.
