Dilly Dilly!! Lets here it for Philly! Philly Cheesesteak that it is. Try my new twist on this iconic Philadelphia favorite by making my Philly Cheese Steak Dip.
They know how to party in Philly. There are few things more synonymous with the city than their incredible cheesesteak sandwiches. You can bring that same taste to your next party with this Philly Cheesesteak dip.
It is so good you will win the MVP award. The best part is it’s quick and easy to make and, because it’s in the slow cooker, it will stay warm and gooey for your whole party.
Can you make this cheese steak recipe without a slow cooker?
Yes! You can make this appetizer on the stove top in a skillet (this is my favorite skillet). After you make it, serve the Philly cheese steak dip right in the skillet or in a fondue pot or other serving dish.
It is so gooey and delicious and great how ever you make it but I love my slow cooker because it makes it so easy and takes one task off my to do list.
Can you make the Philly Cheesesteak Dip ahead of time?
You can make this dip up to 24 hours in advance and warm up to serve at your party.
To prepare this dip, heat up one tablespoon of oil in a large skillet, add peppers and onions and saute until soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add garlic and cook another minute or two and transfer to your slow cooker.
Season beef with my house season blend, add Worcestershire sauce and place in the same skillet with the remaining tablespoon of oil and saute for 5 to 7 minutes. Add to the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.
Serve it with baguettes, chips or toasted rounds.
