The Air Fryer homemade Taquitos are the perfect way to make a delicious Mexican-inspired meal in minutes. This is one of my favorite recipes because I am a fan of spicy foods. They do not get greasy (less oil) and the filling stays in place much better. They are a true family favorite.

What You Need to Make Taquitos
Ingredients
- Shredded cooked chicken breast
- Sour cream
- Fresh cantina style salsa
- Taco seasoning (chili powder, garlic powder, etc.)
- Corn/ flour tortilla
- Olive oil spray/ avocado oil

How to Make Taquitos – Step by Step
- Mix: First, in a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, salsa, taco seasoning and place tortillas on flat surface.
- Roll: Second, fill the center of each tortilla with 3-4 tablespoons of the mixture and then roll. Repeat until all are rolled.
- Fry: Next, spray the air fryer basket and taquitos with oil and place in to cook at 380 for 10 minutes until golden brown
- Serve: Finally, remove and top with favorite pepper, a little salt, cheddar cheese, shredded cheese, cream cheese, black beans, fresh pico or sauce.

Use leftover chicken, a store bought rotisserie chicken or alternatively, try the pre-shredded for air frying that are available at big box stores.
Definitely, they are delicious with ground beef or shredded beef and great for the whole family.
Of course, whether cooking for one or a tribe, you can adjust this recipe as you need too.
You can pre-make these and then freeze, simply thaw in the fridge and then use the air fryer as instructed.
The filling can be made ahead of time but recommend rolling them right before frying for that crispy texture that you want from the taquito.

- 6 Corn tortilla, 6”-8” in size

- In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken, sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning.
- Once mixed fill the tortillas with 3-4 tablespoons of the chicken. Roll and set aside.
- Spray the air fryer basket with oil and place taquitos in to cook at 380 for 10 minutes. Spray the taquitos with oil before cooking.
- Remove and top with favorite pepper, cheese or sauce.
